The fume changed the world, and now it’s changing Neil: a stillness creeping into his hands, a little more each day. Word is there’s a cure at the Peak. It’s a long road, and he can’t take it alone.
The old camper van is home now: sealed against the fume, fitted out piece by piece as the road rolls on. Milo rides up front, heads out through his own little hatch on the errands Neil can’t run, and always comes back for a “Good boy.”
